Love, as one of the fundamental components of marital relationships, plays an important role in various psychological dimensions of married women’s lives. The present study aimed to compare Self-Differentiation, Thought Control Styles, and Patience among married women with different levels of experienced love. This research followed a survey method and was categorized as fundamental and descriptive. The statistical population included married women in Isfahan, from whom a sample of 203 participants was selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using validated scales: the Differentiation of Self Scale (Skowron & Friedlander, 1998), the Thought Control Questionnaire (Wells & Davies, 1994), the Patience Scale (Evans, 1980), and the Love Scale (Evans, 1980). After completing the questionnaires, participants were classified into three groups high (69), moderate (70), and low (64) levels of love based on their Love Scale scores and quartile distribution. The data were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analyses of variance, along with LSD post hoc tests. The findings showed that levels of Self-Differentiation, Thought Control Styles, and Patience did not differ between women with low and moderate levels of love. However, women with high levels of experienced love demonstrated higher Self-Differentiation and Patience, and lower use of Thought Control Styles compared to the other two groups. At the component level, women with high love scores showed higher I-Position and Emotional Reactivity within Self-Differentiation, and lower Distraction and Reappraisal within Thought Control Styles (p<0.05). Overall, the results indicate significant differences in Self-Differentiation, Thought Control Styles, and Patience among married women with varying levels of experienced love. These findings may assist psychologists and counselors in planning more effective therapeutic interventions.
