The goal of this study was to compare prisooners Personality characteristics and Copiing strategies of criminal and normal individuaals. The subjects were a random sample of 50 prisoners from Tabriz Central Prison in Iran who were compared with 50 normal persons. All participants completed Millon Inventory as well as Cassidy and Long Problem Solving test. The results of MANOVA showed that the two groups had significant differences in clinical scales of personality, anti-social Personality disoorder, borderline, Substance dependence and alcchol dependence disorders. Also, the two groups showed significant differences in helplessness Coping strategies, monitoring and Creativity.
