هدف هدف از این پژوهش، بررسی نقش تعدیل‌کننده احساس بهزیستی ذهنی در رابطه جهت‌گیری هدف (تبحری، عملکردگرا و عملکردگریز) و فراشناخت با خودکارآمدی تحصیلی در دانشجویان دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد اهواز بود.
مواد و روش ها طرح این پژوهش، طرح مقطعی‌توصیفی و از نوع همبستگی بود. جامعه آماری شامل همه دانشجویان دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد اهواز بود. نمونه‌ها شامل ۴۰۰ نفر (۲۰۰ دختر و ۲۰۰ پسر) بودند که به صورت تصادفی خوشه‌ای چند‌مرحله‌ای انتخاب شدند. برای گردآوری داده‌ها از پرسش‌نامه جهت‌گیری اهداف پیشرفت، پرسش‌نامه حالت فراشناختی، پرسش‌نامه احساس بهزیستی ذهنی و پرسش‌نامه خودکارآمدی تحصیلی دانشجویان استفاده شد. نتایج تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون نشان داد بین احساس بهزیستی ذهنی، جهت‌گیری هدف (تبحری، عملکردگرا و عملکردگریز) و فراشناخت با خودکارآمدی تحصیلی دانشجویان رابطه معنی‌داری وجود دارد (۰/۰۰۰۱>P). 
یافته ها نتایج حاصل از تحلیل رگرسیون تعدیلی مشخص کرد متغیر احساس بهزیستی ذهنی، توان تعدیل رابطه جهت‌گیری هدف (تبحری، عملکردگرا و عملکردگریز) و فراشناخت با خودکارآمدی تحصیلی را دارد.
نتیجه گیری بر این اساس می‌توان نتیجه گرفت رابطه بین جهت‌گیری هدف (تبحری، عملکردگرا و عملکردگریز) و فراشناخت با خودکارآمدی تحصیلی رابطه‌ای خطی و ساده نیست و احساس بهزیستی ذهنی می‌تواند این رابطه را تعدیل کند.
