پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی تأثیر آموزش تنظیم هیجان بر انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی و احساس تنهایی در معتادین انجام گرفت. روش پژوهش نیمه آزمایشی با طرح پیش‌آزمون-پس‌آزمون با گروه گواه بود. جامعه‌ی آماری شامل تمام معتادین خودمعرف به سازمان بهزیستی شهر شیراز در سال 1401 است که از بین آن‌ها نمونه‌ای به حجم 30 نفر بر اساس ملاک‌های ورود به پژوهش انتخاب و به‌طور تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایش و گواه (هر گروه 15 نفر) جای‌دهی شدند. گروه آزمایش آموزش تنظیم هیجان را به‌مدت 8 جلسه 90 دقیقه‌ای دریافت کردند در حالی‌که گروه گواه هیچ مداخله‌ای دریافت نکرد. پرسش‌نامه‌های پژوهش شامل پرسش‌نامه‌ی انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی (CFI) و مقیاس احساس تنهایی (SELSA-S) بود. داده‌های حاصل به‌شیوه‌ی تحلیل کوواریانس چندمتغیری و تک‌متغیری و با استفاده از نرم‌افزار آماری SPSS-22 تجزیه و تحلیل شد. نتایج نشان داد آموزش تنظیم هیجان بر افزایش انعطاف‌پذیری و کاهش احساس تنهایی معتادان تأثیر معنادار دارد (01/0p<). پیامدهای نامطلوب اعتیاد به مواد و نقش مخرب آن در سلامت روان بر روند زندگی فردی، اجتماعی و شغلی و حتی زندگی شخصی و خانوادگی این قشر را تحت‌الشعاع قرار می‌دهد، لذا ضروری است که اقدامات مقتضی برای بهبود مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی، هیجانی و رفتاری این افراد صورت گیرد. بر این اساس، به‌کارگیری مداخلات روان‌شناختی مناسب که موجب بهبود توانمندی‌های روان‌شناختی و روابط بین‌فردی وکاهش نشانگان روان‌شناختی آن‌ها شود، الزامی است..
