سایبرکندریا مفهومی نوظهور در روان‌شناسی سلامت است که به جست‌وجوی افراطی اطلاعات پزشکی در اینترنت همراه با تشدید اضطراب و نگرانی‌های مرتبط با سلامت اشاره دارد. هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی اختلال وسواسی-جبری و کنجکاوی بیمارگونه با سایبرکندریا با نقش میانجی کنترل شناختی در یک نمونه غیربالینی از دانشجویان بود. جامعه آماری شامل دانشجویان دانشگاه محقق اردبیلی بود که از میان ۱۰ دانشکده، سه دانشکده کشاورزی و منابع طبیعی، فنی و مهندسی و علوم اجتماعی به‌صورت تصادفی انتخاب شدند. سپس، ۳۷۶ دانشجو با روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی خوشه‌ای چندمرحله‌ای انتخاب شدند. پس از کسب رضایت آگاهانه، داده‌ها با استفاده از مقیاس سایبرکندریا مک‌الروی و شولین (2014)، وسواس فکری-عملی ییل-براون (1995)، کنجکاوی بیمارگونه اسکرینیور و همکاران (2021)، و کنترل شناختی گابرز و همکاران (2018) جمع‌آوری شد. پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصیفی-همبستگی و مبتنی بر مدل‌یابی معادلات ساختاری بود و تحلیل داده‌ها با نرم‌افزارهای SPSS 27  و AMOS 24 انجام گرفت. نتایج نشان داد اختلال وسواسی-جبری هم به‌صورت مستقیم (β=0.37, p<0.001)  و هم با واسطه کنترل شناختی (β=0.16, p<0.01) بر سایبرکندریا اثر معنادار دارد. کنجکاوی بیمارگونه نیز اثر مستقیم (β=0.26, p<0.001) و غیرمستقیم (β=0.12, p<0.05)  معناداری بر سایبرکندریا داشت. این نتایج نقش کلیدی کنترل شناختی و فرایندهای خودتنظیمی را در کاهش سایبرکندریا برجسته می‌سازد و می‌تواند مبنایی برای مداخلات پیشگیرانه و آموزشی در جمعیت‌های دانشجویی باشد.
