Abstract: (54 Views)
Perceived partner responsiveness (PPR) can increase individuals’ intimacy with their partners and enhance their well-being. Since there was no valid and reliable scale for measuring this construct in Iran, the aim of present study was to evaluation the psychometric charachteristics of the Perceived partner responsiveness Scale (PPRS) among nurses. The research method was descriptive-survey in terms of data collection and correlational (validation) in terms of data analysis. The statistical population of this research was all of the married female nurses in Zanjan city in 2020, who were selected by the convenience sampling. According to Kim’s approach, the sample size reached to 312. Findings indicated that the PPRS had optimized reliability among the studied sample. Nevertheless, the local dependence of the items is possible. Outputs of Exploratory graph analysis (EGA) showed three-factor structure in the scale. Bootstrap analysis in parametric and nonparametric states also supported of the factor structure extracted from EGA. In confirmatory factor analysis, Bi-factor and three-factor models had good fit compared to other models. Nonetheless, due to the inadequate coefficient omega of the first-order factors and factor loadings in the specific factors of the bi-factor model and the prepotency of the general factor in this model, the need for a higher (second)-order factor was confirmed. Given the adequacy of the average variance extracted index in all models, the convergent validity of the scale confirmed. Considering the sufficiency of the square root of the AVE index in different models of the present study, discriminant validity established at the construct level. The convergent and divergent validity of the PPRS due to its significant correlation coefficients with other studied variables, confirmed too. Psychometric analyses of this research demonstrated that the PPRS is completely a reliable and valid tool among the studied sample. We Recommend future researches study the dimensionality of this scale among other populations and samples with different cultural and demographic characteristics.
